Ian Henderson
Learning and Development Consultant
Ian holds a Diploma in Business Studies (Public Sector Management) and a Graduate Diploma in Adult Learning and Teaching from Massey University. He came to CERT Systems in 2012 with more than 25 years’ experience in regulatory compliance roles with MAF and the Ministry of Fisheries. This work included major quota fraud and serious offence investigations and prosecutions. Ian also managed officer training, competency framework development and performance management process implementation for the Fisheries Compliance group.
Ian’s main focus with CERT Systems is training and assessment services for the NZQA Compliance Qualifications. As a working group member throughout the qualification framework and unit standards development, he was involved in drafting and checking most assessment guides and is a registered assessor for the qualification unit standards.
Ian is also an experienced facilitator for team building workshops. His understanding of the regulatory compliance environment and how effective compliance teams operate makes his workshop facilitation particularly effective.
