Situational Safety and Tactical Communications for Property Managers

Keeping yourself and staff safe when dealing with tenants and property owners, particularly where a potential for conflict exists, requires specific knowledge and skills.

When dealing with tenants and property owners, there is often potential for conflict. Ninety-nine times out of one hundred, tenants and owners are a pleasure to work with - but there is always that one chance that the interaction can become aggressive or even abusive.

Recognising this, we have developed a one-day Situational Safety and Tactical Communications (SSTC) workshop, specifically to give property managers skills to maximise their safety in their work setting.

The course is based on key elements from our foundation two-day SSTC programme and focuses on those skills that are most relevent when dealing with tenants and owners. This includes effective communications techniques, adopting a safety mindset when approaching properties, signs to look out for, where to stand and even where to park. It teaches proven techniques to engage with people to minimise the potential for conflict to arise - and how to remove oneself safely from a property in tensions do grow.
